José Luis Fernández Fernández joined Chevez, Ruiz, Zamarripa y Cia., at its founding on September 1, 1981. He was admitted to the partnership on January 1, 1989 and has been Managing Partner of the firm since January 1, 2007. He has focused his professional practice in the areas of complex domestic and international tax planning. On the corporate side he has advised in tax matters Mexican Public Companies listed in the Mexican Stock Exchange as well as in the New York Stock Exchange.

Has authored various articles in tax matters being published in Mexico.
