José’s practice is centered on the conviction that Galicia can only be an ally of our clients if we really understand their needs and business strategies.
He is co-leader of the Galician Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Equity groups. His professional practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, financing and real estate projects, and he has acted as legal counsel to institutional investors and local and international companies in major acquisitions. He also advises financial institutions in granting loans in Mexico.
He is an active member of the Latin American Regional Forum of the International Bar Association (IBA).

José has a law degree from Escuela Libre de Derecho (Mexico City) where he also studied a Postgraduate degree in Legal Aspects of Investment. He has a master’s degree in Law (LLM) and a Postgraduate degree in Business Administration from Georgetown University.
He is an active officer on the Latin American Regional Forum of the International Bar Association.
Strongly committed to Pro Bono, José serves on the board of various non-profit organizations focused on education and vulnerable communities in Mexico.
José is Co-Managing Partner of the Firm; and is member of the Executive and Compensation Committees.He is an active officer on the Latin American Regional Forum of the International Bar Association. José is recognized as Band 1 in The 2023 Chambers Latin American Guide in Corporate/M&A: The Elite practice.
