Santiago is one of the partners in charge of the area of intellectual and industrial property in Alessandri, concentrating more on the protection of innovation and patents, contracts and cases of defense of free competition. Designing strategies for the global protection and licensing of innovation and patents of Chilean companies, universities and inventors is his specialty.

In relation to the defense of his clients, he is one of the few Chilean lawyers who has to his credit an important success before the ITC (International Trade Commission). In addition, he has a large number of successes in defending patent lawsuits.
