The team remains a key player in the North East Scotland and Highlands & Islands markets. There is no comparable team offering the same strength and depth in construction law in any firm with offices outwith Glasgow/Edinburgh.
What the team also offers is a balance of talent across the discipline of both contentious and non-contentious work, which larger firms have split into separate and distinct practice areas (not always to the benefit of clients).
We act in both contentious and non-contentious construction and engineering law matters for contractors in the traditional building sector:- risk reviews, analysis and negotiation of a variety of construction and engineering contracts for construction contractors, construction & procurement advice to the private and public sectors, as well as to funders.
Also for contractors in the oil & gas supply chain, where those contractors require advice as employers/procurers of build projects and on their own supply chain issues.
The team is known for the quality of the advice and support given, with skills and experience on a par with that offered by construction law teams with the top tier Scottish national firms. The team continues to be a "go to" for the provision of in-house training for clients and industry organisations.
