Bofill Mir appoints two new directors in the Environmental and Labor areas

May 16, 2025

Bofill Mir - In line with its commitment to strengthen strategic areas, recognize outstanding trajectories and respond to the growing demands of its clients, Bofill Mir Abogados announced the appointment of María Pilar Domínguez as Director of the Environmental area and Rafael Sandoval as Director of the Labor area.

"Both appointments respond to our conviction that the strongest teams are not only built with technical excellence, but also with people who bring vision, commitment and a deep understanding of the environment in which our clients operate," commented Rodrigo Saffirio, managing partner of Bofill Mir Abogados, on the occasion of these promotions.

The strengthening of the Environment area, led by María Pilar Domínguez, seeks to reinforce the team’s capabilities in a context where environmental aspects are increasingly crucial for the viability, continuity and reputation of projects and operations. While this strengthening is aligned with the firm’s presence in the mining and natural resources industry, the area also responds to the cross-cutting environmental challenges that all productive activities face today, from water management, climate change and the circular economy, to traceability and environmental regulatory compliance in sectors such as energy, real estate, infrastructure, forestry and agribusiness.

"This appointment is a recognition of the sustained and strategic work we have been developing in the environmental area. It has been a demanding road, which cannot be traveled without commitment, preparation and focus. I assume this new role with the conviction that there is much to be built. None of this would be possible without the Bofill Mir team, whose collaboration and trust have been fundamental in every step", commented María Pilar on her appointment.

Meanwhile, the appointment of Rafael Sandoval as head of the Labor area responds to the sustained increase in demand for services in this practice. But, above all, it seeks to consolidate and deepen the development of the specialty in labor compliance and preventive advice, key areas for a comprehensive management of labor relations. In this way, the firm seeks to accompany its clients in the development of their businesses, considering the changing productive challenges they face on a daily basis and the implementation of changes, procedures, protocols and other requirements derived from increasingly complex labor regulations, as exemplified by the 40-Hour Law, the Karin Law or the Work-Family Conciliation Law.

"This appointment is an opportunity to further strengthen our proposal in labor compliance and preventive advice, two fronts that today make a difference in people management. In an increasingly demanding regulatory environment, our focus will be on anticipating, implementing efficiently and generating clear criteria that allow companies to operate safely and sustainably in their labor relations," said Rafael regarding his new position.

Both appointments are effective as of May 2025. Bofill Mir Abogados is confident that the appointments and strengthening of these areas will be key to the firm’s strategic growth plan.
