DLA Piper announces executive management changes
DLA Piper is announcing changes to the Executive Management Team (Executive) of DLA Piper International LLP which took effect on 1 November 2014.
The Executive has responsibility for the day-to-day management of the EMEA and Asia Pacific business and the development of strategic proposals for presentation to and approval by the firm's Board.
The new Executive will comprise:
Sir Nigel Knowles and Simon Levine - Global Co-Chairman and Global Co-CEO elect
Juan Picon and Barbara van Hussen - Joint Managing Directors, Europe and the Middle East
Charles Severs - Managing Director, Practice Groups
Jan Geert Meents - Managing Director, Clients and Sectors
Paul Edwards - Chief Financial Officer
Andrew Darwin - Chief Operating Officer
John Weber – Australia Managing Partner
Our Asia business will continue to be managed by the Asia Committee, chaired by DLA Piper US partner, Terry O'Malley. Terry will also attend meetings of the Executive to represent Asia.
Federico Sutti will continue to take the lead in managing and directing our Africa strategy and will work with the relevant Executive members in the delivery of this.
The Executive works alongside the equivalent management body in the US, the Office of the Chair, which comprises:
Roger Meltzer and Jay Rains - Global Co-Chairman and Global Co-CEO elect/Americas Co-Chairs
Stasia Kelly and Michael Poulos - Americas Co-Managing Partners
Peter Pantaleo - General Counsel
Bob Bratt - Chief Operating Officer
Sir Nigel Knowles and Simon Levine continue to transition into their new roles as Global Co-Chairmen and Global Co- CEO respectively with Roger Meltzer and Jay Rains; these roles become effective on 1 January 2015.
