Diego Cabezuela, re-elected president of InLaw Alliance of Law Firms  

Diego Cabezuela, Senior Partner of Círculo Legal, has been re-elected as chairman of the board of the international network of law firms, InLaw Alliance of Law Firms, by the organisation’s General Assembly.

The Spanish lawyer initially took up the post in December 2022, succeeding Ángeles Solana from MSO Abogados in Argentina, and beginning a period of management marked by the progress and expansion of the alliance. A specialist in corporate criminal law and compliance, he is now embarking on his second term at the head of the Alliance.

‘The re-election by the Assembly is a recognition of the joint work of all of us on the Board. For us it is an honour to continue representing a high-level alliance such as the InLaw Alliance, made up of excellent law firms and lawyers who share a commitment to the quality of legal services and teamwork,’ said Cabezuela after her re-election.

Since he became president, the InLaw Alliance has achieved significant milestones, restructuring its internal organisation, incorporating new countries and reaching important strategic collaboration agreements with other international organisations in order to expand its range of services. Cabezuela also emphasises the importance of strengthening the alliance’s communication and presence in the media and in society. ‘In Inlaw Alliance we have formidable lawyers in sixteen jurisdictions; companies and the general public need to know that we are here to help them, and that they can count on us’.

Positive balance and new challenges

Looking ahead to the new year, Cabezuela reflects on the objectives achieved and sets out future challenges: ’The immediate challenge is to extend the alliance in North America and Europe. InLaw Alliance started out as an Ibero-American network, but times change, the needs of business people increase and we, the lawyers, have to be by our clients‘ side. That’s why it’s important to enter more countries, always taking the utmost care over the quality of the work and setting the bar high for new members’.
