Galicia shortlisted for multiple awards at IFLR’s Women in Business Law Americas 2026
Galicia Abogados has announced that it has once again been shortlisted in several categories at IFLR´s Women in Business Law Americas Awards 2026, marking its fifth consecutive year of recognition in these awards.
According to the firm, the nominations span a range of Latin American categories, including "Mexico Firm of the Year," as well as distinctions in career development, gender diversity support, and Women in Business Law practice in the region. The firm is also nominated for "Mexico Firm of the Year," underscoring its leadership and continued commitment to professional excellence and diversity within the legal profession.
At the individual level, several of the firm’s lawyers have been recognized in their respective practice areas. These include Cecilia Azar, nominated for Latin America Arbitration Lawyer of the Year; Rosemarie McLaren, for Latin America Banking & Finance Lawyer of the Year; and Lucia Manzo, for Latin America Environmental Lawyer of the Year.
In addition, Mariana Herrero has received two nominations: Latin America ESG Leader of the Year and Latin America Thought Leader of the Year. The list is completed by Arantza Vargas, nominated as Arbitration Rising Star, and Sofía Jurado, as Litigation Rising Star.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in New York City on May 28. According to the firm, these nominations reflect its leadership, professional excellence, and strong commitment to diversity in legal practice across Mexico and the broader region.
