Linklaters appoints Begoña Martínez as partner and Ceyhun Pehlivan and Luis Valdenebro as Counsels 

Linklaters (Spain) has announced the appointment of Begoña Martínez as a new partner, as well as Ceyhun Pehlivan and Luis Valdenebro as Counsels.
The appointments are part of the annual promotion of partners and Counsels at a global level at the firm, where 41 new partners from 11 practice areas and 53 new Counsels from 14 practice areas have been appointed.
With diversity, equity and inclusion being at the heart of Linklaters’ culture and values, the firm is proud to have met its target of 40% female partners and 15% underrepresented ethnic minorities in the global promotions.
The promotions will take effect on May 1, 2023.
Begoña Martínez has carried out a wide range of national and cross-border financing operations, including acquisition, corporate, real estate, project and structured financing, as well as refinancing and restructuring, among others. In addition, she has broad experience advising clients in capital markets, securitizations, private equity, and M&A.
Ceyhun Pehlivan is a specialist in data protection, cybersecurity, information technology and intellectual property. He has extensive experience advising national and international clients on matters related to new technologies (digital platforms, AdTech, Big Data, blockchain or artificial intelligence), data protection (adaptation to the GDPR, audits, and defense in procedures before data protection authorities), M&A with technological components, as well as service contracts, licences, software, outsourcing and cloud computing.
Luis Valdenebro has extensive experience in bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings, advising large companies, national and international financial institutions, and investment funds. He also has extensive experience in civil and commercial litigation in various sectors and in all judicial instances, as well as in all types of foreclosure proceedings (especially complex single asset foreclosures).
