Ander Valverde González-Morejón joined Pérez-Llorca in 2010 and was appointed partner in January 2017. Prior to joining the firm, Ander worked - between 2006 and 2009 - in the Banking and Finance department of the Madrid office of an international firm.

During 2010, Ander worked temporarily as a lawyer in the General Counsel’s office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development based in London.

He has recently joined the London office as head of the Banking and Finance practice.

Experience

Ander is a partner in the Banking and Finance team and the Restructuring and Bankruptcy team.

Ander specializes in debt operations. In this sense, Ander advises on financing of all types, including corporate financing, acquisition financing, project financing, real estate financing, asset financing and margin loans to investors and private banking clients.

In addition, he participates in refinancing, debt restructuring and "special situations" operations.

Ander leads the firm’s direct lending practice. Advises the main debt funds operating in Spain in the context of private debt financing, in its different modalities and strategies (among others, senior debt, unitranche, mezzanine debt, holdco finance, growth finance, special situations, rescue finance, etc.).

His practice is balanced in terms of client typology, advising credit institutions, debt funds, sponsors and companies. An important element of his practice is international, collaborating on cross-border operations with top-tier law firms from other jurisdictions.

Since 2011, Ander has collaborated with the most prestigious Universities in Spain.

Ander is a professor at the Garrigues Study Center where he teaches the subject "Financial and Banking Contracting" in the Master of Business Legal Practice. Likewise, Ander is a professor in the Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession and in the Master’s Degree in Business Law at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICAI- ICADE, where he teaches the subjects of "Company Advice" and "Financial Market Management." Finally, Ander is a professor of the subject "Business Law" of the Business Administration and Management degree at IE University.

Ander taught the subject "Banking Law" of the Master of International Legal Consulting (MILP).
