LATIN COUNSEL is pleased to sponsor the launch of the international training and professional development course: "Contract Negotiation for the Structuring of Trusts", organised by SIJUSA (Panama).

The course will be held in remote format (through the ZOOM platform), during 3 "live" sessions, of 2 hours (each) duration, on 30 and 31 July, and 1 August, respectively, from 15:00 to 17:00 hours (Panama local time).

The course will be given by the corporate lawyer, author, lecturer, trainer and LATIN COUNSEL correspondent in Argentina since 2005, Rodolfo G. Papa, who, in his professional practice, has specialised in the design and negotiation of various trust formats, and has given more than 30 training courses on how this process should be approached in business practice.

Rodolfo Papa shares the following reflections on the launch of the course, which we transcribe below:

"We are very happy and expectant about the launch of this new training tool, regarding how a contractual negotiation process for the structuring of a trust could be approached, taking into account the purpose of its creation.
There is no doubt that the trust has positioned itself - in the vast majority of Latin American jurisdictions - as a flexible and efficient vehicle for the implementation of a variety of financial and real estate ventures, and also for the structuring of an (alternative) source of access to corporate financing, self-liquidating guarantees and/or for asset management, as the case may be, which has operated as an alternative to the use of the traditional corporate entity. The course focuses on providing content and recommendations, with the aim of providing participants with adequate knowledge on how to negotiate the contractual provisions of a trust, so that they can allocate and, where appropriate, transfer a series of risks and responsibilities arising from its execution. The course will also be available in "in-house" format, in case a business organisation or professional firm would like to contract it in this latter modality. We are pleased to be able to work on this new product, together with the SIJUSA team, as the organising entity, and we also have the sponsorship of LATIN COUNSEL, as media sponsor".
