Pérez-Llorca incorporates José Luis Luna as General Counsel  

Pérez-Llorca has incorporated lawyer José Luis Luna as General Counsel of the Firm, with responsibility for the management of internal legal matters, as well as Compliance and management functions.
Luna has more than 20 years of legal experience acquired both in law firms and in multinational companies, which gives him a broad and unique vision of his work.

José Luis graduated in Law from the University of Seville, and has completed a Master’s Degree in Business Legal Advice at IE Law School, as well as a Postgraduate Degree in European Policy and Community Law at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques of the Robert Schuman University of Strasbourg. He has also completed Studies at Georgetown University in Washington.
His most recent positions have been as Director of Corporate Legal Counsel and member of the Executive Committee and the Management Committee at Abengoa, and later, as partner at Ontier.

The incorporation of the figure of a General Counsel with such broad management powers is common in large international firms, although it is perhaps more innovative in the Spanish market. With this step, Pérez-Llorca intends to deepen the institutionalization and training of a professionalized management team, following a strategy that began years ago with the appointment of partner Constanza Vergara as Corporate Director, María Luisa de Landecho as CFO, and Rafael Madero as CIO, as well as with the growth of professional departments of HR, Communications, Marketing and Business Development, CSR, Knowledge Management, Finance, and Information Technology and Innovation, among others.

This management model aims to allow the firm’s partners and lawyers to concentrate on the development of their practices and the service to their clients, while maximizing efficiency, innovation and professionalism in matters of internal management.
