Pérez-Llorca incorporates Christian Kaye as partner to lead the Tax practice in Mexico
Perez-Llorca has strengthened its Mexican legal practice with the incorporation of Christian Kaye to its Mexico City office as partner in charge of the Tax area, together with a group of lawyers in this specialty.
The new partner at Pérez-Llorca has more than 25 years of experience advising multinationals, institutions and individuals in all areas of tax law. Specializing in tax and administrative procedures and litigation, he has extensive experience in the design and implementation of defense strategies before the tax and administrative authorities, both federal and local in Mexico, as well as in estate planning for individuals and companies, and in tax advice in mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings.
Kaye has been recognized by Who’s Who Legal as one of the best lawyers in Mexico in the Corporate Tax and Administrative Litigation practices. He holds a law degree from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, a master’s degree in Tax Law and International Tax Law from the Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City and the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain.
This appointment is a further step in Pérez-Llorca’s commitment to the Mexican market after the recent integration of the elite firm in this country, González Calvillo. As stated by Iván Delgado, International Executive Partner of Pérez-Llorca, "at Pérez-Llorca we have the ambition to create the leading legal practice in Mexico to serve clients in their main transactions and disputes on both sides of the Atlantic. The incorporation of Christian Kaye along with a group of lawyers is another example of the Firm’s commitment to offer global advice in the main areas of law through multinational teams".
Rodrigo Rojas, partner of Pérez-Llorca’s Mexico City office, points out that "Christian’s versatility, his complete profile as a tax lawyer and his vast experience will enhance the tax advice to our clients and will complement the work of other Pérez-Llorca Mexico practices in their tax derivatives".
