Carlos is an Associate at BLP in the San José, Costa Rica office. He specializes in the Corporate Law and Insurance & Reinsurance practices.

In Corporate practice, he has experience advising national and transnational companies on day-to-day aspects. He has participated in mergers and acquisitions transactions representing both multinationals and local companies.

In the Insurance & Reinsurance area, he has extensive knowledge of applicable regulations, as well as experience in authorization processes, licenses for insurance companies and insurance intermediaries, as well as in the preparation of insurance contracts and defense of insurance claims. In addition, he provides advice on the preparation and review of contractual provisions in insurance matters.

He joined the BLP team as a legal assistant in 2012 and in 2014 he was promoted to Associate.
