Jonathan Rugama joined Arias in late 2021 and focuses his practice on Regulatory Law and Mining, with additional experience in Immigration Law, Banking, Finance and Insurance, as well as Mergers and Acquisitions, financing, and the structuring of securities.

In the mining sector, he has been actively involved in projects related to the structuring, development, and establishment of mining companies in Nicaragua, providing legal advice on regulatory compliance and financing structures, as well as advising on transactions within the mining industry. His experience includes advising clients in regulatory matters before competent authorities and providing ongoing legal assistance to mining companies, as well as to businesses operating in other regulated sectors.

He also advises domestic and foreign companies on immigration matters from an investment- and operations-related perspective, including the relocation of foreign personnel and the assessment of regulatory risks in connection with corporate activities in Nicaragua.

As part of his commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Jonathan actively participates in initiatives promoted by Arias aimed at generating positive social and educational impact within the community.
