ARIAS asesora en financiamiento por USD 115 millones para TRECSA

Arias Guatemala acted as local legal advisor to Natixis, New York branch, and BLADEX, in connection with a USD 115 million club deal financing granted to Transportadora de Energía de Centroamérica, S.A. ("TRECSA"), one of the leading energy transmission companies in Guatemala and an affiliate of Grupo Energía Bogotá.

The financing was structured in multiple stages, combining a bridge loan with a five-year long-term loan, and will be used to refinance existing debt and optimize TRECSA’s maturity profile.

Arias advised the lenders on key aspects of Guatemalan law, including the implementation of the local structure and the coordination of relevant corporate and regulatory matters, in collaboration with international counsel to ensure an efficient closing across multiple jurisdictions.

This transaction reflects Arias’s experience in the energy sector and in advising on complex financings.
