Bomchil and Martínez de Hoz & Rueda advise on ARS 320 billion syndicated loan to EDESUR

Bomchil and Martínez de Hoz & Rueda advised on a new ARS 320 billion syndicated loan granted to Empresa Distribuidora Sur S.A. (EDESUR), the concessionaire responsible for the distribution and commercialization of electricity in the southern area of the City of Buenos Aires and 12 municipalities in the Province of Buenos Aires.

Bomchil advised EDESUR, while Martínez de Hoz & Rueda advised Banco Santander Argentina S.A. and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Argentina) S.A.U. (ICBC Argentina) as arrangers and lenders; Banco BBVA Argentina S.A., Banco de Galicia y Buenos Aires S.A. and Banco de Valores S.A. as lenders; ICBC Argentina as administrative agent; and TMF Trust Company (Argentina) S.A. as trustee.

Security and use of proceeds

The loan is secured through a fiduciary assignment in favor of the trustee, for the benefit of the lenders, over 30% of EDESUR’s present and future revenues arising from the provision of electricity distribution services to customers.

The proceeds will be used by EDESUR for investments in physical assets and capital goods and/or working capital.

The loan was disbursed on September 17, 2026.
