United Airlines resumes daily flights between Nicaragua and the U.S.
The Republic of Nicaragua welcomed more travelers with good news for the aviation industry.
On January 4th, the US airline, United Airlines, reactivated its operations in Nicaragua, after habit suspended the service for almost three years due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The inauguration ceremony took place with the arrival, at full capacity, of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft from the Houston Intercontinental "George Bush" Airport, landing late in Nicaragua.
The arrival at the "Augusto C. Sandino" International Airport signifies the official re-establishment of United Airlines operations in Nicaragua.
García & Bodán Nicaragua, under the leadership of Terencio García, Regional Managing Partner, together with Senior Associate María Alejandra Baldizón, worked meticulously for the reactivation of United Airlines operations in terms related to compliance, permits from public entities, contracts, among others, achieving the strict observance of both the local aeronautical legislation and of the applicable international standards.
"We have been flying in Nicaragua for 33 years and it is extremely important for us to be able to re-establish this route, with a professional team that has made this possible," said the representative of the airline during the protocols.
