BLP has once again been recognized in the 2026 edition of IP Stars, with three of its partners named Trademark Stars and one of its directors included as a Rising Star.
Partners Giselle Reuben, Uri Weinstok and Luis F. Ruiz were once again recognized as Trademark Stars for their experience and work in trademarks and intellectual property.

Giselle Reuben, a partner at BLP in San José, Costa Rica, specializes in Intellectual Property and Product Sanitary Registration. She has extensive experience in the registration, protection and litigation defense of intellectual property rights and coordinates procedures for clients across Central America and other jurisdictions. She joined BLP in 2006 and became a partner in 2014.
Uri Weinstok, a partner at BLP in San José, Costa Rica, has more than 20 years of experience and specializes in Competition and Antitrust, Privacy and Data Protection, Intellectual Property, and Advertising, Marketing and Consumer Protection. His practice includes intellectual property litigation, merger-related matters, regulatory actions and compliance. He joined BLP as a partner in 2015 following the merger with Weinstok Abogados, a firm of which he was a founding partner.
Luis F. Ruiz, a founding partner of BLP in Guatemala, specializes in Corporate Law, Intellectual Property, and Labor and Employment. With more than 25 years of experience, his intellectual property practice includes the protection of intangible assets such as trademarks, patents, copyrights and trade secrets. He became a founding partner of BLP in Guatemala in 2016.
Anel Aguilar is a director at BLP in San José, Costa Rica, and specializes in Intellectual Property and Product Sanitary Registration, with experience in trademarks, patents and copyrights. She joined BLP as an associate in 2016.
