BLP advises IFX on the acquisition of Luminet
BLP advised IFX Networks on the acquisition of Luminet, also known as CRISP (Costa Rica Internet Service Provider S.A.), a Costa Rican company specializing in internet services and fiber optic connectivity, with more than 15 years of experience in the development and implementation of telecommunications projects.
This transaction allows IFX to strengthen its position in Costa Rica, where it operates commercially under the IFX-CODISA brand. This new acquisition complements the recent integrations of the CODISA and ADN Data Centers, as well as the recent acquisition of Gold Data Costa Rica in February 2025, transactions in which BLP also assisted IFX. The integration expands IFX’s connectivity network and strengthens its ability to offer comprehensive solutions that include Data Centers, Cloud, Security, and value-added services, providing world-class technology services to companies operating in the country.
For the transaction, BLP conducted legal due diligence, drafted and negotiated the Share Purchase Agreement, obtained antitrust authorization, verified compliance of the closing conditions, and assisted during closing.
The project was led by Partner Adriana Castro, along with Director Elia Naranjo and Associate Diego Quirós.
Additionally, Sofía Zúñiga, Alexandra Aguilar, Catalina Conejo, Elena Foltran, Juan José López, and León Weinstok participated in the due diligence process and verification of the closing conditions, while Uri Weinstok played a key role in antitrust matters. Both teams were instrumental in the transaction’s success.
