Ivón Hernández promoted to partner at Arias Guatemala

Arias Law has announced that Ivón Hernández, Director of Intellectual Property at ARIAS Guatemala, has been promoted to Partner.

Ivón Hernández has more than fifteen years of experience in the field of intellectual property and is a highly regarded lawyer in Guatemala and abroad. She joined the ARIAS team in 2014 and since then has been a key player in the development of its IP practice.

Ivón’s legal advice focuses on issues related to trademarks, geographical indications, patents, copyrights, IP due diligence, advertising, data protection and consumer protection. She also has extensive experience in civil and criminal IP litigation, including anti-piracy actions.

Ivón has been recognised by prestigious legal directories such as World Trademark Review, Chambers and Partners Latin America and The Legal 500, where she has been highlighted as a Next Generation Partner. She is also an active member of the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI), the International Trademark Association (INTA) in the Unfair Competition Committee, the Intellectual Property Committee of the Guatemalan Chamber of Intellectual Property (CAMPI) and the Intellectual Property Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Guatemala (AMCHAM).
